Web Developer (Ruby on Rails)

Responsibilities

- Develop new and enhance existing features as well as investigate and resolve defects

- Define and adhere to internal coding standards, development processes, and design best practices

- Implementation of a robust set of services and APIs to power the web application

- Building reusable code and libraries for future use

- Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability

- Implementation of security and data protection

- Integration of the front-end and back-end aspects of the web application

- 2+ years of experience in software development environment, preferably building software-as-a-service products

- Proficient knowledge of Ruby on Rails framework

- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision

- Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

- Comfortably conduct front-end development using HTML/CSS and JS-based design frameworks - Angular and Bootstrap without much external guidance

- Strong understanding of Sphinx, Redis

- Good knowledge of deployment tools and can manage servers alone

- Experience in developing Client/Server side Web Services using Restful patterns
